3 Things I am happy about:
- Air conditioning on a hot summer day
- Swimming in the Pool
- Company actually honoring warranty
I was watching this TED talk about how to live 100+. It’s pretty good. Basically, you have 3 of the 5 F’s in it (Fitness, Family, & Friends). I know the age old saying it’s all about the quality of life, but if you can have both quantity and quality why not go for it?
I would encourage people to watch it.
On a side note, I am going to start upgrading the site =)
Don’t know why you stopped posting to this site. I really like it. I found it because I to have broken my life down to Five F’s which are Fitness, Faith, Family (includes friends), Finance, Function (work) in that order.
I am always amazed out how our society gets their PRIORITIES MIXED UP. The order of the 5 F’s, should always be:
1) Faith- God is first before anything
2) Family – Your spouse is right after your God and then your children, then your immediate family of Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, etc…
3) Friends – You are lucky to have a handful and the ones you have, should align with #1 and #2 above, if not, they don’t have time in your life, let them go. We all have the same amount of time each day, so friends should MAKE TIME for you and vice versa.
4)Fitness – This can be right after faith, because our own spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical fitness is very important in order for #2 and #3 to be healthy as well.
5) Finances or Work – Well lets be honest, we are consumed with at least 8 -12hrs each day at jobs and working to pay our bills, and manage our finances…..so if we work with the money we have rather than chasing more money, then we will and can focus more time on #1 above our FAITH and relationship with our God in all we do. Finances should be focused on our NEEDS not on what we WANT in life.
This is my take on it all and hope it helps folks out there reading it.

Tom
Tom,
I appreciated your comment. I remember hearing the priority list that you have described and it is the order that I now use.

Tom S,
Thank you for your comment. Your explanation is what I remember hearing a while back and is the order I try to maintain in my life.
