  • Focus on Meal Plans

    Hello Five F’s Community!

I have been struggling with the Fitness portion of a balance life. I am planning on trying out the different meal plans available. From what I read, the goal is to get down to a health 1,200 calorie in take then. But it’s important to not go crazy with diet. When I use to live in France, the key part was portion control and eating fresh. Living in the U.S., I have grown accustom to fast food.

Does the community have any favorite meal prep plans?

  • Happy New Year 2017

    Hello Five F’s Community,

I have taken a long hiatus due to personal reason. But I am finally getting back to it. I received a lot of encouragement to write. We definitely need it now because of what we hear in the news of political tumors, global injustice, and natural disasters.

One thing I have learn over and over again is this. Don’t worry about things you can’t change. Focus on things you can change. That is really the key message of the Five’s F community. You need to start with yourself first.

To get things moving for you guys. I have listed a few great TED Talks for you below:

    • Going to the Symphony
    • Learning new skills

Today I am challenge to learn how to evaluate a small business where I  might take a partnership in it. The business is interesting that it is unique and a niche market. I am not sure how much stake I will eventually purchase, but I realized I have a lot of 1st World problems. • Empty Promises

3 Things I am happy for:

    • Warm Weather
    • My church group
    • Air Conditioning

We spoke about “Empty Promises” at church today. Everyday we have someone teaching their kids that if you do ‘X’, then you will get ‘Y’. The problem with this statement is that it doesn’t always hold true. We must challenge and evaluate our thoughts in order to see beyond the cliche associated…

  • Why do we not follow our dreams?

Several Things I am happy about:

    • Bought a friend hot chocolate other night
    • Learned how to flip a girl in swing dancing
    • Gave a generous tip to a waitress
    • Gave a stranger a ride home
    • Watched a really good movie, John Carter
    • Inspired by my friend to follow my dreams

I haven’t blogged in a few days, but I am happy to say a lot has happen. One of my many mentors have challenge me to really find my passion. I have spent the last decade trying to get better skills while I should find my passion. I have to say it’s not easy. I am talented in many ways, but I need to focus. My enemy is complacency, but my answer is discipline and focus.

I was praying and watching TED and found this great video.

Hopefully it will encourage or at least entertain you!

  • Holding Yourself for Accountable for Success

I have decided to start off all of my blogs with at least three things I am joyful about that happen to me in a day.
    1. I am thankful that I was able to donate can foods at Stretch’s Superbowl Party.
    2. I appreciate a Costco employee taking time putting air in wheels.
    3. I am happy I can afford to replace my Ipad 2 screen I broke yesterday.

    For today’s blog…
I have posted on my facebook a challenge to my friends, to join me in “The Happy Secret to  Better Work” . I have received some initial takers, but we will see how many will take the challenge.

    I found this article today:

“Smiling is good for you – and an area of scientific study by some seriously smart researchers”

     http://www.mercurynews.com/bay-area-news/ci_19898741?source=rss

Seems like we should try to at least smile once a day =)

  • Alpha to Omega

The world around us is constantly changing and we wonder if we are going to make it through each day. We have bill, earthquakes, mining accidents, political unrest inject into our minds whether we like it or not. The truth is no matter where you go in the world today. We are all as human beings are facing these issues. But the real question would be, ” Is there more to life than just what we see?

The answer is a definite “YES”. Not, “Yes We Can”, but what is it that we wish we can do? We all have our answer, but for me it seems merely a question of time and priority. I feel deep down inside we know what we want to do, but we loose sight of it because of society and stuff.

Check out this video when you get a chance…
